Need for improvement of development management for organic farming Ec. Drd. Şincari Manuela –Universitatea Babeş-Bolyai Cluj-Napoca Abstract: Agriculture in Europe is at a critical stage as it tries to balance its nutritional, economic and environmental demands. One of the options for the future is ecological (organic) agriculture, which emphasises sustainability, human health, biological conservation and the quality of life. Ecological agriculture is a form of applied ecology with a series of aims that need to be balanced within an agricultural context. These aims and principles need to be understood, firstly, as biological processes, but with the recognition that they are influenced by many factors that lie outside of biology such as economics, nutrition and consumer preferences. Key words: organic farming, ecological agriculture JEL Code: Q56, O13
